Super Rats: Songs of Old Bucharest

Super Rats band combine raw Balkan village folk, intricate Gypsy and Turkish music, old central-European cafe repertoire, even tango and jazz. At the centre of their sound is the mighty cimbalom, an instrument like the bastard offspring of honkytonk piano and xylophone, with 145 strings, supported by accordion, violin, and double bass.
