Surfers Paradise New Year's Carnival

Join the celebrations for a six-day long party to ring in the New Year! Starting with a bang from Friday, December 27th, the Gold Coast’s most famous beachside destination will explode to life from 3pm to 10pm daily, except for New Year’s Eve which will see the Carnival operating until midnight to ensure you're carried into the New Year in true Surfers Paradise style!

The Surfers Paradise foreshore will be buzzing day and night in the six days leading into the new decade, with the Surfers Paradise Carnival hosting a huge array of family-friendly activities and carnival rides including rock-climbing walls, cup and saucer and pirate ship rides. Armbands offering unlimited access to rides are available for $25 each, alternatively individual coupons can be purchased.

The family-friendly event will reach its crescendo on Tuesday, December 31 when tens of thousands of people flock to the precinct to witness not one but two of Queensland’s most spectacular New Year’s Eve fireworks displays. 

The 8pm show will allow young families to enjoy watching the latest incredible pyrotechnics light up the night sky, before the traditional midnight countdown culminates in a dazzling 10-minute display of fireworks exploding above the ocean.
