Coder Academy

Join Coder Academy for a fun and engaging week filled with coding, robotics, electronics, Virtual Reality and much more! A variety of STEM based activities will be running each day during the January school holidays to suit a wide range of interests, ages and give you the chance to explore the latest digitech toys whilst learning essential 21st Century skills.

Tuesday 15 January (Ages 8+) Learn how to code an interactive website using Javascript and then learn how we can use these skills to code interactive robotics. We will then give you challenges to complete and test your knowledge.

Wednesday 16 January (Ages 12+) Learn all about 3D modelling including the different types of software, tips and tricks from a pro and create a 3D character that can then be used as your character in Unity on Thursday.

Thursday 17 January (Ages 12+) Design, code and create a multilevel platform game. You will be taken through a real life studio environment and collaborate with multiple people to create a bigger and better game.

Our Philosophy:
We pride ourselves on our ability to cater to students who are racing ahead, while supporting those who need more time to practise their skills. We aim to help students better understand the technological tools they have at their disposal, and how they can create rather than simply consume. Students are encouraged to adopt an experimental mindset, and think ‘What if?’ without giving into a fear of breaking something. We believe that people with unique interests learn to code for different reasons, and there are many ways to engage kids with tech in a way they find exciting and encouraging.
