NHS Events is excited to announce the return of their event, The Art of War – Against Domestic Violence for the second time. This unique art event, which incorporates an exhibition, auctions and raffle brings together the public, local businesses, and the arts community to collaborate and celebrate emerging and established artists, while raising Domestic Violence Awareness.

We welcome you to attend the Art Exhibition which will feature a wide range of artwork in various mediums, all donated by local and regional artists. The night will begin with guests having the opportunity to view and explore each piece in order to choose their favourites and write them down on a 'wish list'. Throughout the night, a live raffle will determine who will take home each piece of artwork. Other selected pieces will be up for auction and silent auction. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to charity, Friends with Dignity.

When you purchase a 'singles' or 'couples' ticket, you are entering the live raffle which guarantees you taking home an amazing one-of-a-kind piece of artwork. If your number is drawn first, you get to pick your favourite piece to take home, the next random ticket number drawn will select their piece, and so on.

We couldn’t happier to bring the event back to Brisbane again this year. The inaugural event in 2017 was a resounding success and saw 105 people attend, with over 60 pieces of artwork taken home, and $4,300 raised for Friends with Dignity.

The night's festivities will once again be brought to you by our wonderful emcee, Kimberley Busteed and each ticket holder can expect:

Entry to Exhibition;
Complementary drink on arrival;
Chance to win raffle & lucky door prizes;
Feast on a grazing table & tapas;
Special Guest Speakers;
Meet & greet with artists; and
Chance to upgrade general admission ticket to take home a piece of artwork**
**not guaranteed.

In Australia, domestic violence is as severe as it is prevalent, with as many as 1 in 3 women and 1 in 6 men experiencing physical violence. These statistics clearly highlight the need for raised awareness and community action, for a cause of undeniable importance.

Please join us to make this years event an even bigger success.
