Audible.com.au, the Australian arm of the world's leading provider and producer of spoken word entertainment, is offering the unique opportunity to get behind the mic to narrate popular audiobooks at a pop-up Audible Studio sound booth at the Sydney Writers' Festival. If you think you could be the next big thing in audiobook narration, give your vocal cords a thorough warm up at this limited time pop-up.

Parents and grandparents have always read to the children in their lives, and at the interactive pop-up studio, event-goers and passers-by can experience the unique skills and techniques of audiobook narration, with each budding narrator sent an electronic copy of their audiobook performance to share with family and friends.

At the pop-up studio, listen to the dulcet and irreverent tones of favourite Audible narrators, Scarlett Johansson and Stephen Fry, before honing your bedtime story reading with a study of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Give an anything-but-elementary portrayal of Holmes and Watson in Sherlock Holmes, freak out the family and get your spook on with a performance of Frankenstein, or give life to classic love story Pride and Prejudice.

Throughout the weekend, Audible will be listening out for superstar voices, who they may feature in an upcoming Audible Originals production. Audible continues to invest in local talent, focusing on developing Audible Original entertainment that's produced locally and shines a light on Australian talent and experiences.

For event attendees looking to take some time out to rest and recharge, the pop-up studio will have its own Audible Green Room, where visitors can relax and plug in to over 300,000 audiobooks and audio shows from a range of popular genres and authors on Audible.com.au.
