The Between

When you’re caught in between childhood and adulthood, life and death, the known and unknown, who should be in control of your destiny?

The Between is a play that asks the big questions about how to find that illusive thing we call “happiness” in a confusing, scary and uncertain world. It focuses on the failures in modern leadership and the importance of empowering and trusting the next generation to take control of their own destiny and the destiny of their world, to build a happy, comfortable future. The concept of “The Between” came from the idea that our planet is in a “between” state—we will either take action to protect it, or it will continue to degrade, and time is running out.

We realized that the students themselves are also in between childhood and adulthood, a potentially confusing and frightening time. We hope the audience will be inspired by the message that the key to a successful future for our world lies within us all—we just have to pay attention and take action.
