The Greek Mythological Boat Show – SPARC Theatre

Join SPARC Theatre on a journey of migration, shared culture, transformation and exploration of a dream spatial realm. SPARC asks the question; If we had to leave our home what would we take with us? And what gets left behind? The fifteen SPARC members are people with an experience of long term psychiatric disability and/or acquired brain impairment living in supported accommodation in the City of Port Phillip.

The Greek Mythological Boat Show will showcase the 13-member strong SPARC Theatre chorus as they re-imagine the ancient Greek comedy "The Birds" as a site for community storytelling and performance with an 80's and 90's inspired sound track.

SPARC Theatre is supported by a partnership between The Port Phillip City Council and Port Phillip Community Group. The Greek Mythological Boat Show has been assisted through the Besen Family Foundation.
