The Makers' Nest – Design Market

We’re excited to be back just in time for Christmas gift gathering! Held only twice a year this popular event showcases and celebrates those who design and make all their contemporary products in Australia, from fashion, jewellery, ceramics, textiles, illustrative artworks and plenty more.

Not often can you meet this many authentic and diverse Australian makers under the one roof. Some rarely exhibit in Sydney, whilst others are local favourites keen to show their latest work. It’s a carefully curated event; with 50 authentic stallholders selling strictly Australian made products with literally something of interest for all ages and budgets.

You can also ‘learn to make’ with our popular making workshop for all ages. Details about our Christmas themed workshop will be released in late November via our website and social media.

You will find this fun, family friendly event in the Community Hall on Level 1 of the beautiful Tramsheds in Sydney’s Inner West, where you can also enjoy an impressive variety of quality food and beverages on offer in the bustling food hall downstairs, including the popular Sunday Growers market.

So please join us and shop local this Christmas, while meeting these passionate creative makers—for just one day only! Kids under 12 years free.(No booking required, pay on entry).

There is free 2-hour parking on site however it’s in high demand so we recommended the street-parking close by, (free all day curb side parking) or ideally traveling via the excellent transport links to the venue. The Jubilee Park light rail station and bus stops are both at the Tramsheds doorstep.
