The Marvellous Hearts is a new project from singer songwriter and harmonica player Captain Bluetongue of The Blues Preachers. The band includes some of Sydney’s finest musicians to create songs that are catchy yet thought provoking. Their sound is a mix of steady, solid and intricate drum patterns, melodic bass lines, tasty lead guitar with blistering blues harp washed in a sea of funky keys and "Earworm" melodies that will stick in your head.

Their sound has been compared to The Beatles, Bob Dylan, Tom Petty, The Black Keys and Angus & Julia Stone. The Marvellous Hearts creates music with a positive message.

"This is like a sonic time machine that can take you way back to a simpler time, filled with awe and wonder." - Nkechi Anele Presenter Roots N All on triple j

The Marvellous Hearts are:
Captain Bluetongue - vocals, guitars & harmonica

Marco Solo - lead guitars & beverage connoisseur
Mr Wizard - 5 string bass & subsonic patterns
Hutch - drums & percussion
Kat G - backing vocals

And special guest the marvellous Alison Penney on keys & piano.
