“The ancient Romans told stories to explain the world around them. These stories told of the rising and setting of the sun, the wind and the waves, the seasons, and even why battles were won or lost.”

Internationally renowned Artists By Any Other Name are proud to present their original production, “The Planetarium”.

Celebrating the 50th anniversary of the first moon landing, "The Planetarium" is an exploration of our solar system and the Roman mythology that shaped how we understand it.

Through the marriage of music and dance, you will hear the stories of the biggest characters in the night sky—and the heavenly rulers whose names they bear.

A perfect school holiday cultural treat, the program includes selections from:
- Beethoven String Quartet op. 18/1 and op. 18/4
- Haydn String Quartet op. 76/6
- Borodin String Quartet no. 2 in D major
- Hindemith String Quartet no. 1 in C major
- Jennifer Higdon Sky Quartet

This performance is the culmination of the Young Artist Exchange annual Creative Experiences workshop. Artists By Any Other Name (the ensemble-in-residence for Young Artist Exchange) are a New York City based interdisciplinary ensemble that brings together live classical music and contemporary dance to tell the story of the worlds around and within us.

Artistic Director: Harmonnia Junus
