Shakespeare as he intended...drunk.

Fast, funny and irreverent Shakespeare performed in your local pub. This troupe of actors will have you dying with laughter, singing along with pub classics, and most importantly, doing something you never thought you'd do. Love Shakespeare.

Bar'd Work's first production, the famous comedy Much Ado About Nothing, is part of the inaugural Shakesbeer Sessions. Look forward to a night of short, sharp Shakespeare as two of his greatest creations go head to head in a battle of wits. Leaping off the page and into the pub, Beatrice and Benedick attempt to save a wedding under threat by the villainous Don John. More romance than The Bachelor, better writing than Home & Away, and actors that will share a drink with you (before, after, and during).

Bar'd Work are proud to be presenting this performance at Chippendale's most iconic pub.

Reviews:

"This Much Ado might not be the cleverest or most slickly produced production you’ve ever seen but there’s still a good chance it’ll be up there with the funniest." - Audrey Journal

"Can’t stress enough how great this production is—the musical choices and acting in the show are fabulous, and the pub atmosphere lead to an incredible sense of connection between the actors and audience." - Nicola, audience member

"What an epically, hilarious night. My cheeks are sore from laughing. That was the way Shakespeare wanted his plays to be shown." - Shelley, audience member

"What a sweet ass night!" - Katie, audience member

"I’m struggling to breathe." - Shelley, audience member

"That was awesome. What play was it again?" - Reece, barman
