The Sydney Fringe Festival has announced that Rockabilly Rhythms will have a new home at this year’s festival, at the iconic Pumphouse Bar & Restaurant. Throughout September, ‘Rockin’ the Pumphouse’ will showcase a line-up of Sydney’s best Rockabilly bands every Saturday night in partnership with the Sydney Fringe Festival.

Starting Saturday 7th September with the Honkey Tonk inspired Cruisin’ Deuces through to the 28th September with Pat Capocci closing the show. Other performances will include Narelle Evans & The Jetbacks (14th September) and the sultry sounds of Mary Heart (21st September).

To celebrate the Sydney Fringe Festival, Rockabilly fans can enjoy a choice of 1 main from the ‘Pub Favourites’ section of the menu and 1 drink for only $25pp. In true rock and rock style, punters can celebrate Jack Daniel's birthday with $10 JD cocktails every day for the whole of September.

The Pumphouse was built back in 1891 as a pumping station for the Sydney & Suburban Hydraulic Power Company as part of Sydney's power infrastructure—this was long before electricity provided most of our power needs.

Saved from demolition by the Heritage Council of New South Wales, the building was restored to become the Pumphouse Tavern, owned and operated by the Tank Stream Brewing Company, and selling craft beer at the tavern made by the company at their own brewery. The original Thunderbolt Strong Ale, a feature of the old Pumphouse Brewery and Tavern, still continues to be brewed to its original recipe exclusively for Pumphouse Bar & Restaurant.

Pumphouse Bar & Restaurant offers guests a variety of other craft beers from Australia and around the globe. The venue boasts a Tex Mex themed menu full of pub favourites, offering crowd favourites from burgers to steaks and ribs.

Situated in the heart of Darling Harbour with the bar just next door to International Convention Centre Sydney and The Exchange, in Darling Square, Pumphouse is the perfect spot to enjoy after work or weekend dinner and drinks with friends.

Pumphouse Rockabilly Rhythms Schedule:

- 7 September: Cruisin' Deuces
- 14 September: Narelle Evans & The Jetbacks
- 21 September: Mary Heart
- 28 September: Pat Capocci
