Bethanie, Western Australia’s leading not-for-profit aged care and retirement living provider are proud to be supporting an Inspiring Australians Breakfast with Ita Buttrose.
To celebrate the launch of the 60th Anniversary of the Australian of the Year Awards in 2020, Auspire—Australia Day Council WA will present their first event in the Inspiring Australians’ Series – Celebration 60 Years, featuring Ms Ita Buttrose, AC OBE.
Bethanie CEO Chris How says, “Bethanie is extremely proud to partner with Auspire and support this Inspiring Australians Breakfast with Ita Buttrose. Like Ita, Bethanie has a passion to make a difference and we share her belief in the importance of health and well-being to an ageing population.”
After a trailblazing journalism, media and business career, at 77 Ita Buttrose is still a force to be reckoned with. Now Chair of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, she balances this high-profile position with several charitable roles including National Ambassador of Dementia Australia, Patron of the Macular Disease Foundation, Emeritus Director Arthritis Australia and Ambassador for Breast Cancer Network Australia.
The Australian of the Year Awards honour an exceptional group of highly-respected Australians who ignite discussion and change on issues of national importance. In the 60-year history of the Awards, we have recognised leaders and achievers from science, human rights, health, the arts, civic leadership, music, community, philanthropy, sport and business.
As one of a handful of globally recognised, Australian female role models and high-achievers, and one of our most celebrated Australian of the Year recipients, the inimitable Ita has a story or two to tell, many in fact who have heard her speak are the first to line up to hear from her again.
