Sydney’s Urban Guerillas bring their energetic “Guerilla Radio” show to Melbourne for one night only. Sing-along, dance-along, think-along or just come and drink-along to the Urban Guerillas’ vision of a better world and the pursuit of happiness. As they said in the Canberra Times “The Urban Guerillas prove that you don’t have to avoid reality to have a fun night out”.
Also on the bill will be the return to the stage of Sydney alt- folk / punk legend James Griffin front man of the Agents and James Griffin and the Subterraneans. James built his career around such songs as '20th Century Blues', 'I Smoke Money', 'I Don't Think I drink Enough', 'I thought It Was You On The Boulevard' and 'Australia's Just A Suburb of the USA'. James Griffin and the Subterraneans, featured a rotating line-up of many acclaimed Sydney based musicians including members of The Church, Icehouse, The Laughing Clowns, Do Re Mi, The Eurogliders, The Dugites. The Coloured Girls, X, and The Kamikaze Kids.
Kicking the night into gear will be Melbourne outfit, the Suburban Prophets. Their busy live show features haunting and melodic guitar riffs behind an enigmatic front man. Suburban Prophets are tough, dark and moody with a driving sound and a thumping bass groove.
