It's Valley Heat Records' 3rd birthday and we're throwing a l'il shindig to say thanks for giving us the juice to keep this thing going!

Sadly we can't have all of our artists on the bill but we do have a rather eclectic cross-section for you, featuring the incredible ambient gloom rock of Cloud Tangle in full band mode, The Double Happiness' catchy surf-tinged shoegaze, the 8-headed funk monster that is The Holy Rollercoasters and, returning from hiatus, The Dollar Bill Murrays!

Cloud Tangle is the solo project of multi-instrumentalist Amber Ramsay, which combines video art and music to evoke a mood equally devastating and beautiful. Her ethereal vocals soar above silky guitar melodies, dragging you ever downward into a subdued, grimly content atmosphere.

The Dollar Bill Murrays are back and ready to party! The boys are keen to be hanging with the fam at Valley Heat Records again. There might even be some new tunes, who knows - only one way to find out!

The Double Happiness are two couples riding high on the waves of a surfgaze sound. Take the spooky mystique of Twin Peaks and the rollicking vintage cool of Pulp Fiction and you will find their particular blend of indie surf and shoegaze.

Their debut EP "City" released last year was a 4ZZZ favourite with airplay around the country on community radio. The Double Happiness have played their reverb drenched tunes all over Brisbane, including a support slot for UK 90s giants "The Charlatans" and a cracking live to air set for 4ZZZ’s Right Here Right Now program. With a full album of ripper new tunes to be recorded this year, The Double Happiness are ready to tumble into 2019.

Inspired by the masters of rhythm and blues, the ecstasy and tragedy of love and the beauty and gothicism of the bible, The Holy Rollercoasters are soul, blues and jazz-worshipping Brisbanites. It shall be wild and you shall snap your fingers and wiggle your hips. And ye shall be healed.

"Frenetic funk chorus’ fuelled by creeping verses! epic!" - Jake Mason, Cookin' On 3 Burners

"Like Stagger Lee standing nefariously in a saloon doorway, slowly twirling a Cobra above his head, The Holy Rollercoasters' Out Jumped The Devil is a simmering soul menacer that suddenly strikes and leaves you gasping on the dance floor." - Pat Monaghan, Rocksteady Records
