Perth Folk and Roots Club is back at the Victoria Park Centre for the Arts for Verandah Folk and Roots, with Town of Victoria Park support. The performances are from 4pm to 7pm at the Victoria Park Centre for the Arts, 12 Kent Street, East Victoria Park and all are welcome.

For this event, the Perth Folk and Roots Club has Fiona Heath and the Hardey McMurrick Two.

"The Perth Folk and Roots Club welcomes back Fiona Heath and newcomers the Hardey McMurrick Two on Sunday 13th October," said Keith Anthonisz, President of the Perth Folk and Roots Club.

Fiona Heath is originally from New Zealand and brings expressive performance of acoustic music, jazz and soul as well as original songs and crowd favourite interpretations of Amy Winehouse. Fiona previously played with the Perth group the Dreamers and has performed in Europe. Fiona has been performing in and around Perth including the Pickers and Slidders at the Flying Scotsman, the Perth Blues Club, the Boulevard Tavern in Joondalup, the Gas Light Club and Gypsy Tapas in Fremantle. Fiona Heath has been a crowd favourite at past Perth Folk and Roots Club shows and is not to be missed.

The Hardey McMurrick Two combine blues, folk, jazz, old time americana, spoken word and hip hop into new musical directions. Their instruments include double bass, banjo ukulele, resonator guitar, harmonica and vocals with a little bit of humour. Comprising of self taught song writer Hardey McMurrick and academy trained accompanist/collaborator Seb Davidson, the two create together between their numerous other artistic projects ranging from industrial sculpture building to physical comedy, to lock down their shared passions into playing original music they dearly love. They have released an EP called Rain and have been playing a diverse range of gigs from Ellingtons Jazz Club to the Fairbridge Festival, the Albany Harbourside concert series to the Boston Brewery, Denmark South West of WA.

"The Perth Folk and Roots Club looks forward to the next Verandah Folk and Roots at the Victoria Park Centre for the Arts with Fiona Heath and the Hardey McMurrick Two," said Keith Anthonisz.
