"Sunday Funday"
From 12pm to 4pm, kids of all ages (6 years+ encouraged) can play with a variety of props, with facilitation from members of the Wandering Circus. Skills will include Juggling, Staff (Contact/Dragon), Poi, Acro balance and Handstands. Children under 12 require supervision by a parent or guardian.

As well as being super fun, circus arts improve important life skills such as communication, collaboration, resilience, mindfulness, problem solving, relationship building, and conflict resolution as well the practical movement skills of balance, spatial awareness and hand-eye coordination.

All skill levels welcome!

"Black & White Scrim"
From 5pm, VRDL invites all genders for a social scrim for any 18+ skater that has been cleared for contact. Line-ups will be facilitated according to level of experience for those attending. Please bring both white and black tops to wear.

Tickets now available at Sticky Tickets.

"Black & White Scrim": Gold coin donation on the day.

The Wandering Circus was founded in New Zealand through the not-for-profit organization Community Arts and Circus Trust New Zealand - Cactnz and first toured in the summer of 2018. During this time, they offered workshops and shows to regional communities, with a focus on youth and culture. These workshops were complemented by skill-share gatherings and shows for the circus community and supporters in urban areas. Destinations ranged from the tiny coastal town of Granity to Tapu te Ranga Marae in Wellington. The tour reached from Dunedin on the South Island to Wellington on the North Island.

During her participation in the first tour, VRDL skater and cabaret producer Kegeleagle decided that it was Australia's turn to experience the Wandering Circus, and expand our reach to youth and circus communities in regional areas along the East Coast as well as major cities. Our troupe members come from all backgrounds, and are inspirational proof of working hard against the odds to make dreams come true.

VRDL is based on the stolen land of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin nation. We pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging, and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded.
