Join the WA Country Health Service (WACHS) for the WA Rural and Remote Mental Health Conference 2019.
A key event for anyone who cares about access to mental health services and the particular issues facing regional and remote communities, this is an opportunity for mental health professionals from across WA to participate in information sharing, training, upskilling and networking.
Celebrating our theme "Moorditjabiny: Becoming Stronger", the 2019 conference will be the 24th time the event has been hosted by WACHS, and on this occasion will be set in Albany on WA's beautiful south coast.
The focus of the 2019 conference will be to address the vital issues of trauma, recovery and youth suicide prevention, as well as a range of broader issues relevant to all those working with, or caring for, country people.
Aboriginal Mental Health has a significant presence at all Rural and Remote Mental Health Conferences and the range of topics will include Aboriginal perspectives in suicide prevention, recovery, substance use and the co-production of care plans.
