Westfield Coomera in partnership with the Pacific Arts & Cultural Heritage will be celebrating Waitangi Day this weekend, on both Saturday, 2nd February and Sunday, 3rd February with a traditional Powhiri and welcome to country, live music, entertainment, food sampling with traditional New Zealand lollies and cakes, kids activities and storytelling.

Saturday, 2nd February

- Kids cultural face painting for the little ones: 9am–11am (The Backyard), 11:15am–12:15 pm (The Dining Precinct)
- Traditional Powhiri and welcome to country: 10am–10:45am
- Kids Poi making workshop, poi is a form of dance where weights on the ends of tethers are swing through rhythmical patterns: 12pm–2pm
- Guided tour taking you back through the Polynesian Island and see traditional cultural artefacts: 1pm (Dining Precinct), 2:30pm (Centre Court)
- Traditional hangi tastings: 2pm–2:30pm (Dining Precinct)
- Storytelling zone for the little ones where they can hear traditional Maori stories: 2pm–4pm
- Fantastic line-up of cultural entertainment and live beats: 11am–2pm, 5pm–8pm

Sunday, 3nd February
