The Wandering Circus is coming to Sydney, for the very first time!

In partnership with Create Or Die, this international troupe of world-class performers will offer workshops in a range of circus skills including flow arts, aerials, counterbalance, and act development catering to beginner, intermediate and advanced experience levels. All facilitators are also available for private 1-on-1 or group tuition. Please contact Wandering Circus to arrange this.

For those with some experience in flow arts, a fire safety and performance workshop will follow, featuring a fire performance demonstration by members of the Wandering Circus. Then stick around to see the troupe come alive on stage in a showcase with a hint of Halloween. Don't be scared, we don't bite...hard.

Schedule:
12–1:30pm - workshop session 1
1:30–3pm - workshop session 2
3–4:30pm - workshop session 3
6–7:30pm - fire safety/performance workshop + pre-show fire demonstration
8–10pm - Showcase (16+)

Available now through Sticky Tickets. All prices excluding booking fee.

The Wandering Circus is a touring troupe of international artists skilled in performing and teaching across circus, cabaret and flow arts. They have over 100 combined years of experience in object manipulation, flow arts, fire performance, burlesque, spoken word, aerials, and acrobatics.
The Wandering Circus was founded in New Zealand through the not-for-profit organization Community Arts and Circus Trust New Zealand - Cactnz and first toured in the summer of 2018. During this time they offered workshops and shows to regional communities, with a focus on youth and education.

These workshops were complemented by skill-share gatherings and shows for the circus community and supporters in urban areas. Destinations ranged from the tiny coastal town of Granity to Tapu te Ranga Marae in Wellington. The tour reached from Dunedin on the South Island to Wellington on the North Island.

During her participation in the first tour, Sophie deLightful decided that it was Australia's turn to experience the Wandering Circus, and expand our reach to youth and circus communities in regional areas along the East Coast as well as major cities. Our troupe members come from all backgrounds, and are inspirational proof of working hard against the odds can lead to adventure.
