Wendy Sharpe – Paris Art Exhibition

Wendy Sharpe, one of Australia’s most awarded artists, returns to Perth with Paris, a dynamic and vibrant exhibition of Parisian moments.

Presented by Linton & Kay Galleries, Sharpe’s new exhibition forgoes the idyllic and expected postcard Paris and delves deeper into the secret world of Parisians. The vivid body of work depicts the coexistence between the real and the imagined glimpses into life in Montmartre, Paris where she lives for part of every year.

Renowned for her figurative oils on canvas and her unique ability for storytelling, Sharpe brings life to intriguing characters though her extraordinary painting skills and signature saturated primary palette, with each piece taking the audience on a journey to another time and place.

Sharpe has held over 59 solo exhibitions around Australia and internationally and has won a myriad of accolades including the 1996 Archibald Prize, the Sulman Prize, the Portia Geach Memorial Award and most recently, the 2019 Calleen Art Prize.

Opening hours:
Monday–Saturday 10am–5pm
Sunday 11am–4pm
