Don't miss this opportunity to be a part of Tasting Australia celebrations at our Women in Food breakfast on Thursday, April 11.
It started with seven stools and a tiny kitchen in 1957, when migrant Lucia Rosella arrived from Italy and opened a stall at the Adelaide Central Market to sell pizza. A trailblazer of her time, and unknowingly paving the way for generations of women to come, Lucia created a South Australian icon that continues to thrive.
Hosted by Katie Spain, author of the new book Adelaide Central Market: People, Stories & Recipes, join us for breakfast made with love by the ladies of Lucias. Hear from panellists, chef and owner of the Salopian Inn Karena Armstrong, owner of the Smelly Cheese Shop, Say Cheese and Dough Valerie Henbest, and Michelle Farinola of Samtass Bros Seafood talk about what it means to be a woman in the food industry today and how we can shape the future for the next generation.
Tickets are strictly limited and includes breakfast and take home gift. Please advise dietary requirements and coffee order when booking.
