For the first time in 85 years, Melbourne will play the world stage to the World Billiards Championships.
The World Billiards Championship is one of the most prestigious events in cue sports. Attracting the world’s top ten players including reigning champion Sourav Kothari of India will make Melbourne’s Royal Automobile Club of Victoria the focus of global cue sports from October 6 to 12.
Also making the trip to Melbourne is The John Roberts Trophy, reportedly the oldest surviving world title trophy (first awarded 1870), older than the trophies for Wimbledon and the British Open.
