World Naked Bike Ride Sydney

Join us for World Naked Bike Ride Sydney, a public awareness event for bike safety, body positivity, and the environment. Become a biketivist and help make history. With huge rides already in the centres of London, Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Melbourne, it is now finally coming to Sydney!

Our event is for the purpose of raising awareness for three main social causes:

Bike Safety
Cycling as a form of transport has a significant public benefit to our society. But many people are afraid to try it because of how vulnerable riding is on the road. By showing the naked human body, we both raise awareness for this issue and symbolise the vulnerability that cyclists face every day.

Body Positivity
In today’s environment of highly sexualised entertainment and advertisement media, negative body image is becoming a mental health crisis in our youth. Our event literally shows to everyone that bodies come in all shapes and sizes, and that yours is nothing to be ashamed of.

The Environment
Cycling is one of the best things to do for our earth. What are you doing through lifestyle change to reduce emissions, so that our children have a healthy world to live in? This event demonstrates #PedalPower over oil as one way to do it.

Our well-organised event is for the public benefit. Because it uses communal nudity to raise awareness about a cause, and as shown by the public reactions to WNBRs elsewhere in NSW every year, this event is observed to be neither obscene nor offensive by the majority in the community.
