Yellowbird takes over the Espy Basement during May, showcasing incredible artists each week!

Angry seas are a 5-piece punk hardcore outfit hailing from Melbourne's south east bayside area. Formed in 2012 in the wake of other bands they performed in dissolving, Angry seas were quick to start playing shows in all of Melbourne's popular haunts.

Inspired by a healthy mix of late '80s, early '90s dischord style punk/hardcore along with the vast array of Melbourne bands that they witnessed in their formative years. Angry Seas play a heart felt, honest brand of punk with a no frills attitude. A style driven by the desire to play similar music that shaped them as people and friends.

With two 7-inch records and a cassette ep under their belts, they explore a range of sounds that won’t be unfamiliar if you were listening to punk and hardcore throughout the 90s and 2000s. Energetic and gimmick free.
