Stretch Yoga

This playful, music, dance and movement filled workshop is the perfect way to explore meditation for anyone who struggles with stillness (or just loves to boogie!)!

For many of us, living in a society of constant stimulation the stillness of meditation can feel like an uncomfortable journey. Simply stopping and noticing our thoughts and sensations can feel overwhelming (and something we can easily procrastinate from doing)! Our Yoga, Boogie, Bliss workshop is designed to meet you and your nervous system in a familiar range using movement, breath and sound. This workshop will help you to develop a pathway to meditation that is joyous and inquisitive—using movement to find stillness.

Yoga, Boogie, Bliss will begin with a movement inquiry. It will shift into a grounded space of yoga asana and breath. It will merge into dance and movement and float back to asana or stillness. You'll explore and meet resistance with curiosity and learn ways to approach and shift back from your edge.

You don't have to be an amazing dancer or experienced yogi but simply have a willingness to go on a journey, with breath, with movement and into the layers beneath your skin. To get curious and be playful. To breath deeply. The last half hour will move into a guided meditation. Noticing, welcoming and embracing the sensations inside. Observing thought and meeting resistance with loving kindness. Exploring moments to savour and integrate these new experiences into our system discovering their are many ways to meditation and stillness. Sinking into bliss!

Beginners are completely welcome—we can't wait to see you there!
