Dru Yoga is a flowing, therapeutic style of Yoga suitable for all. The class starts with a gentle activation to warm-up the body in preparation for postures and flowing sequences, all designed to release physical and emotional blockages, bringing balance to body and mind. There is a focus on spinal awareness, core stability, soft joints and heart opening. The class ends with a blissful relaxation to integrate, nurture and renew.

Amanda started her Yoga journey over 20 years ago in South Africa with an Iyengar training, where she learnt the importance of alignment and the benefits of a restorative practise. When she arrived in Australia in 2003 she embarked on a Hatha Yoga training with Friends in Yoga, which gave a wonderfully inclusive overview of Yoga, adapting postures to suit all bodies. Her first introduction to Dru Yoga was in 1997 when the Life Foundation visited South Africa, sharing the flowing sequences and empowering postures.

Amanda completed her Dru Yoga teacher training in 2015, and has since assisted with teacher training. She also has worked for the last 5 years in Physiotherapy rehabilitation, which has enabled her to work with modifications and variations of poses to suit all.
