The 2 Worlds Festival is a celebration of our culture’s through music, art and performance in a fun, entertaining and interactive festival atmosphere. 2 Worlds Festival showcases a variety of Indigenous and Western performers, art and cultural activities. The event will be held on March 14th, 2020 at the iconic Birrarung Marr, on the banks of the mighty Yarra River.

Headlining the event will be Xavier Rudd and Kasey Chambers along with a plethora of amazing musicians including Áine Tyrrell, The Black Rock Band, DRMNGNOW, Emma Donovan and The Putback’s, Finnigan August, Honk, Kutcha Edwards, Spoonful, The Louds, Wadeye Journey Men Project and Yirrmal.

The 2 Worlds Festival will be opened with a ceremony led by Traditional Owners. Visiting dance groups will be welcomed onto country and invited to share their own story through dance. The Opening Ceremony will be an inclusive celebration of life and culture of First Nations people. The Opening Ceremony is at 12pm (gates open 11:30am)

There will be cultural activities and performances from Djirri Djirri Dancers, The Didge Circle, Culture Is Life, Charcoal Lane Cooking Demonstrations, Panel Discussions, Korin Gamadji Institute and kids activities and interactive workshops including Kids Yoga, Immy Owusu Drum and Dance workshops, Urban Upcycle, Face-painting and Big Lawn Games.

The 2 Worlds Festival is a 'not for profit' fundraising event for the Märrma’ Rom Two Worlds Foundation, whose purpose is to provide more leadership and educational opportunities to young Yolngu women and men and strengthen their Arnhem Land Indigenous communities.
