Art Est Skateboard Deck Workshop

This action packed two day workshop focuses on skateboard art and street art. Students enjoy exploring the history of skateboard design, deck graphics and street art. Local street-artist ‘Skulk’ will deliver a fun-pack class where each student gets their own skateboard to paint and hang on the wall as a work-of-art!

On day 1: students will be guided through the design process, from exploring ideas via drawing games and collaboration, how to shape your final artwork for the skateboard, through to brush skills and colour theory.

On day 2: students will bring ideas to life, designing graphics for skateboards and develop their painting techniques, each student will leave with a unique hand-painted skateboard, a true work-of-art.

Note: The skate decks the students use are for decorative purposes only. They are designed to be hung on a wall and do not come with wheels.

The session is for two full days (with lunch, morning and afternoon tea breaks). The fee includes speciality materials and each student will take home a deck. Please bring your own lunch etc.
