Get ready for the ultimate sequel as Boxwars returns to HOTA!

This January Boxwars is calling all the people of the Gold Coast to join their international Rescue teams as they transform the Outdoor stage into Tracy Island, complete with palm trees, pink limousines and space craft.

Boxwars is both art and destruction, using nothing but cardboard. You build something out of cardboard and destroy it in a huge battle. Come join the Boxwars team to help create the mega and mysterious creations that you can use in the ultimate endgame-a battle to end all battles. We need makers and battlers.

Join the ranks.

This epic event sees giant cardboard creations-sculptures, costumes, weapons and more- repurposed for one good reason: an explosive battle to save the world.

Following Boxwars smash hit battle at HOTA in 2019, this family-friendly festival of pointlessness is sure to be a blockbuster of an afternoon.

Get Energised before the battle with Electrik Lemonade playing on the outdoor stage.

10:15am–11am - Electrik Lemonade
11am–12pm - Boxwars Battle

Presented by HOTA, Home of the Arts.
