Space for Cycling Brisbane is proud to bring you The Brisbane Bicycle Film Festival.
Since 2017, we have been hosting this inspiring annual festival—a fundraising and social event that helps us to fund our campaign to give people on bicycles a voice in Brisbane. In 2020, the festival will showcase the finalists in our short film competition, Brisbane Bike Bites, and the winner of the competition will be announced. We will also be screening the feature film Motherload.
Check our website for more information and a preview of Motherload, an award-winning crowd sourced documentary about a new mother’s quest to understand the increasing isolation and disconnection of the digital age, its planetary impact, and how cargo bikes could be an antidote.
The event is usually a sell-out and it’s a great opportunity to meet and chat with other keen bicycle riders, so make sure you get your tickets early. Getting more people on bicycles in our community requires a multi-prong approach that includes infrastructure, governmental support, advocacy and a key element: fun ways to socialise and get involved. After all, it can’t be all work and no play!
