Come along to the Logan West Library (Browns Plains) calligraphy and penmanship practice sessions. Use my Blackletter calligraphy sheets or use the time to practice your own writing style with a small group of friendly like-minded people. These are practice sessions, the free evening classes are held at the Hyperdome and Springwood Libraries.

You no longer have to work on your own. Come and meet other passionate people while you practice with pens and brushes and share your experience, knowledge, and skills. If you don't have any equipment then contact me so I can bring spares. Don't buy anything before you come along, as we can give you suggestions on the best or cheapest kits and where to get them.

We use both dip-pens, brushes, and fountain pens. If you already have equipment then bring them along. If they need servicing then I can help you with that (free). This is a small group, bookings are essential. We welcome everyone (as long as you can write).

Don't worry if you're a beginner or a master, you can learn from us or we can learn from you. I am interested in how you started, your experience, and your goals. Don’t be shy, each session is for 3 hours but you can stay as long or as little as you like.

These are practice sessions to: learn new and practice calligraphy styles; identify the best equipment for penmanship and calligraphy; best paints for illumination; and discuss everything on pens, paper, ink, and drawing.
