After what seems like a lifetime of Melbournians being stuck at home and limited to online activities, Cork and Canvas is thrilled to announce they will open their two South Melbourne studios from the 4th of November, following the lifting of Victorian COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.

Fittingly, the painting available for those ready to get out and paint and sip the night away is Melbourne City Tweets, a twilight scene of Melbourne's city skyline. Classes in both studios are BYO so guests can enjoy their own wine and snacks whilst Cork and Canvas' lead artists take you through a step by step art class so that you leave with a masterpiece.

The new schedule includes options to host private parties, perfect for getting the work crew back together again, as well as sessions for you to suggest a painting idea to the team at Cork and Canvas.

Upon reopening their Melbourne studios, groups will be seated in accordance to 1.5m social distancing while you get your paint on (small groups and couples will be able to sit next to each other on the same table). Limited seating will be available whilst Covid restrictions are in place. Australia’s first paint and sip studio will offer workshops for public sessions as well as private parties for you and your mates. These will offer a great team-building experience for those getting back to the office and keen to catch up in person with their colleagues - say farewell to Friday Zoom drinks at last!

Cork and Canvas will be implementing a number of measures to ensure the safety of all guests so here’s the lowdown: the studio will be professionally cleaned prior to each session, all guests will be greeted at the door with hand sanitiser, and glassware will be cleaned using an industrial glasswasher on the highest setting. and all wooden cheese boards will be removed.

For anyone who doesn’t feel well on the day of their session, Cork and Canvas are happy to reschedule your booking to ensure the health and safety of everyone attending. The team asks that if you feel unwell, to let them know as soon as possible so they can reschedule your session and avoid unnecessary last-minute cancellation fees. For the safety of guests and artists, Cork and Canvas’ lead artist will reserve the right to turn away anyone that appears unwell.
