Cork & Canvas Launches ‘Champainting’ with Koalas

Cork and Canvas, Australia’s first paint and sip experience has announced their new ‘Champainting’ experience just in time for Valentine’s Day celebrations. This lavish event allows guests to get up close and personal with the cuddly koalas at Sydney WILD LIFE Zoo.

For something a little different this Valentine’s Day, guests can spend some ‘koala-ty’ time with each other and Australia’s favourite furry friends, painting the koalas as they sip on Champagne and enjoy dinner. Starting out with exclusive after-hours access, with 45 minutes of free time to explore the zoo, away from the daytime crowds.

Champagne is then served on arrival at Kangaroo Walkabout while guests get up close and personal with one of Australia’s most iconic marsupials. Guests will then arrive at Koala Rooftop, where they can sip on bottomless sparkling, red and white wine, beer and soft drinks throughout the evening, whilst taking in the city views through the treetops of this hidden CBD oasis.

Gourmet charcuterie grazing boards will be on offer as well as mouth-watering canapés ranging from Coconut poached chicken rice paper rolls to Panko crumbed Brie with quince paste and Wagyu beef sliders with tomato, aged cheddar & pickles, to name but a few. For those with a sweet tooth, dessert will feature cinnamon churros with a rich warm chocolate sauce.

Guests will take inspiration from the adorable koalas surrounding them as they paint to complete their animal masterpiece that they can take home as a keepsake of this special evening. Of course, no koala meeting is complete without a few selfies to round off the night.

The limited tickets for the 14th of February have already sold out, so we’ve decided to host an additional night of romance and cuteness this week, on the 15th - ideal for those who want to do something special on a different night this week or something a little bit extra with the girls.”
