Fremantle Chamber Orchestra, conducted by Jen Winley, presents and eclectic program: J C Bach’s early classic Symphony in G minor leads to Mozart's exquisite Flute Concerto 1 featuring Michael Howell. Frederick Septimus Kelly is a little known Australian composer who died in WW1. His ephemeral Elegy for String Orchestra “In Memoriam Rupert Brooke” is contrasted by the dramatic and energetic Symphony in G minor by Koželuch, a Beethoven contemporary. Schoenberg’s late romantic Notturno for Violin and Harp provides a tender Ahhh finale.
