The Joan is delighted to present the official launch concert for Frances Madden’s new album Beautiful World released in Australia by ABC Music.

A year in the making and produced by ARIA Award winning maestro Chong Lim AM (John Farnham, Olivia Newton John), the wonderful original songs on this new ‘crossover’ album have the potential to bring vocal jazz right back to the heart of popular music.

For this special event, Frances who will be on vocals and piano, will be backed by an eight-piece all-star band featuring some of Sydney’s most talented musicians! Be part of this very special event in person — the show will also be live-streamed to Australian and international audiences.

Frances plays to full houses at leading jazz venues and festivals around Australia. She has supported touring international artists including Dionne Warwick and Grammy-Award winner Gregory Porter as well as headlining at the acclaimed JZ Club in Shanghai. Her first studio album If This Were A Dream went to #5 on the ARIA Jazz Charts. Her album Live at the Basement has sold out multiple pressings.

With a nod to her jazz roots, Beautiful World will also appeal to Frances’ growing adult contemporary following in Australia and overseas – the album will also be released by Universal Music in Japan early in 2021.

This event is kindly sponsored by Create NSW. Check out The Joan website to find lots of great local restaurants nearby to complete your great evening in Penrith.
