World Square is fast becoming a hub for art and creative displays, and the latest artist to be showcased, whose work may just make you stop and scream, is Sydney-based illustrator and designer, Kentaro Yoshida.

From 18 February to 8 March, World Square will host an installation of his augmented reality mural Night procession of the hundred demons, in partnership with the Art Gallery of NSW. To celebrate the artwork’s arrival, World Square summons all of Sydney’s gourmet goblins and spirited shapeshifters on 20 February for Ghoul’s Night Out, a supernatural Japanese food crawl like no other.

A foodie’s paradise, four of World Square’s most popular retailers have created ghoulish themed dishes for one night only, with prizes to be won if you visit all four stops.

With many more specials still to come, a taste of Ghoul's Night Out exclusive food offers include:

- Yokai and Yurei Hokkaido & Pafu combo; renowned for its Japanese sweet treats, Pafu’s take on the deliciously popular baked cheese tart is a surprising balance between sweet and savoury
- A Ghoulish Grill’d Slider combo
- Unagi Chicken Karage from Yayoi
- Ramen Zundo’s Yokai Black Spider Tsukemen Noodles—handmade using squid ink and topped with soft shell crab. Ideal to dip into their iconic tonkatsu soup

From 5pm, a live deejay (not undead) will spin the decks, grab a killer new look from one of the ghoulish make-up artists or sit down and chill out with a ‘silent’ screening of Tim Burton’s The Corpse Bride at 9pm.

Register online for silent cinema screening.
