The stories, the songs and the shocking truth: it’s outrageous, it’s funny and a little bit risqué: a tell-all of some of Australian Rock ‘n’ Roll’s greatest by frontman of the Choirboys - Mark Gable

Celebrating fifty years as the front-man for pub rock icons Choirboys, MARK GABLE unlocks the vault holding the secrets of some of Australia’s rock ‘n’ roll greats. He lets you in on the stories of the things he has seen and heard, both on and off stage: the artists, the managers, the groupies, the roadies, the fans and the recording studios. There is so much to tell from a man who has lived and breathed Australian Rock ‘n’ Roll.

This two hour tell-all is executed with all the humour, quirkiness and craziness for which Mark is well renowned, and sometimes it’s just plain shocking! Great Australian Rock ‘n’ Roll Stories is part story, part song, taking you on an adventurous stroll through the wild years of Aussie rock and roll and the songs that went with them.

What was Chuck Berry’s weird way of working with bands when touring in Australia? Mark knows! Which movie star did the bass player from Divinyls meet under a table in a nightclub? Mark knows that too!

What happened to Iggy Pop’s pants seconds before going on stage in Australia? Mark will tell you!

Are Deep Purple responsible for Mark Gable walking with a limp? You’ll soon find out!

Together with the secrets and stories, audiences will experience a wonderful soundtrack of songs that includes Deep Purple’s “Smoke On The Water”, Chuck Berry’s ‘Never Can Tell’, TMG’s ‘Jump In My Car’, Dragon’s ‘Are You Old Enough’, ACDC’s ‘Long Way To The Top’ and of course the Choirboys hits ‘Boys will Be Boys’ and the pub-rock anthem, ‘Run to Paradise’.
