We bid farewell to one Japanese tradition by welcoming another. As Perseverance: Japanese Tattoo Tradition in a Modern World closes, so begins a day of multilingual poetry based on the 17-syllable, 5-line tradition of Haiku. Our hosts will be our favourite local Haiku enthusiasts from the Australian Haiku Society.

Celebrate the diversity of language, and express yourself and your culture in your own words within the timeless framework of Haiku. Everyone is invited to perform their original Haikus in an open mic environment. All languages encouraged!
