St. Mark's "Heart of Heritage" Festival as part of the "Australian Heritage Festival" offers a number of events over the weekend.

A display of quilts will be in the Church on the Friday and Saturday with $2 exhibition entry donated to "Black Dog Institute". Entry forms for quilts for the display must be submitted by 5pm on 1 April 2020. To request entry information, conditions and forms, email heritage.stmarks@gmail.com.

The Parish Hall with free entry will host demonstrations of heritage crafts with sales of handcrafted homewares and gift items.

An "Official Opening" function on the Friday from 6 to 9pm will welcome everyone to view the quilts and the demonstrations with live music from the talented string quartet "The Four Bows". Entry cost to the function includes a 3-course fork supper with a cash bar.

Guided Tours of the 1868 Church will be offered on Sunday at 11am, Noon, 1pm, 2pm and 3pm. Heritage features of the Richard Suter designed building include the architecture and stained-glass windows by the renowned artist William Bustard. Copies of the 142 page full colour history book "Living Stones: 150 years of St. Mark's Church" launched in 2018. To commemorate the 150 year celebrations, they will be available for $30. There will also be opportunities to hear the Memorial Organ, restored in 2009 and the Chime of Bells, dedicated in 1962.

The onsite "Heritage Tea Rooms" will offer affordable morning and afternoon teas with delicious country home baking and a more substantial lunch menu throughout the weekend. Vegetarian and gluten free options will be available.

Church and Hall are accessible.
