Tim and Judy Sharp’s perfectly titled book and keynote, A Double Shot of Happiness, has been captivating audiences everywhere.

Tim was diagnosed with Autism at age three. Judy, his mother, was told that she should “put him away and forget about him”. Ignoring this advice, Judy, the single mother of two young sons, tried everything she could think of to communicate with Tim, including drawing. Tim is now an internationally acclaimed 25 year-old Australian artist and his artistic creation, the quirky super hero Laser Beak Man is world famous.

Tim and Judy’s incredible story is one of adversity, persistence, resilience, triumph, success and inspiration. It is their powerful past and their bright future that compels audiences everywhere to stand and applaud them.

No matter who you are, or what you do, you will walk away from this presentation with memorable messages and a unique experience.

This January at HOTA, their talk will be a more casual experience as Tim and Judy share stories of the journey they have been on for the last 20 years with Laser Beak Man. From his creation to now when Tim’s superhero has his own theatre production that is taking over the theatres of Australia thanks to their collaboration with Dead Puppet Society.

Sharing images of Tim’s art, their experiences around the world and their dream for an inclusive world, this talk is open to all.

Presented by HOTA, Home of the Arts.
