Jazz & Blues Collective

The Jazz & Blues Collective first event for 2020 features "The Jazz Train" from the Tallebudgera region. The band comprises Ian Beddows (double bass/vocals), Glenn Walton (piano), Niven Walton (drums) and special guest Willy Qua founding member of the Galapagos Duck Band (sax/reeds). The Jazz Train have been playing together for over 20 years and cover a vast musical landscape from Jazz, Latin, Funk and Rock including material from artists as diverse as Frank Sinatra to Frank Zappa and Mark Murphy to Elton John just to mention a small cross section.

They including numerous songs from The American Jazz Standards song book plus tunes like Stolen Moments, I’m All Smiles, Moody’s Mood, All Blues, Boplicity and Latin favourites like The Island, Chega De Suadade, Once I Loved, Quiet Nights and the list goes on. Enjoy their covers of The Beatles, The Easybeats, Paul Simon and Billy Joel. They give every tune their own unique flavour to enhance the listeners pleasure.
