At age 16, Josh Earl was chosen to dance on tour with a professional dance company for two weeks. The only thing was – he had not told his parents he was a dancer. Like a real life Billy Elliot, if Billy Elliot was no good at dance, and only got selected because they were running short on male dancers in Tasmania in 1998.

Modern. Contemporary. is a show about seeing things differently, failing spectacularly and trying to make sense of it all.

"Brilliant." - The Music

"Hilarious." - Beat Magazine

"You'll want him to stay on stage for another hour as you realise his show is about to come to an end." - Herald Sun

Josh Earl is an award winning comedian, an ex-school librarian and host of TV and radio (Spicks and Specks and 3RRRFM’s Breakfasters). Josh has shared stage and screen with the likes of Tim Minchin, Ade Edmondson and Hamish Blake. His most popular offerings have been Josh Earl is a Librarian, and Josh Earl vs. The Australian Women’s Weekly Cake Book. Both have toured every state in Australia and earned him the award of the Best Comedy at Fringe World.
