To celebrate the start of the Kanzi apple season, Sanders Apples, a family-run orchard nestled in the picturesque Yarra Valley, is opening its gates for a weekend of apple picking.

If you haven’t tried a “Kanzi U-Pick” before, this Autumn activity is a must. Just imagine rows of apple trees full of ripe, red Kanzi apples ready for the picking, orchard fields for a BYO picnic and free tractor rides to top off the wholesome, family fun.

The Kanzi U-Pick is on for just one weekend and it is the only opportunity, this year, to pick your own Kanzi apples straight from the tree.

Kanzi apples have only been available in Australia for ten years but they’ve quickly become one of the nation’s favourite apple varieties. Australians love their balanced sweet and tangy flavour, juicy crunch, flesh that doesn’t brown, and durability that makes them perfect for lunchboxes.

Across the weekend, around 500 people are expected to attend the Kanzi U-Pick weekend, with tickets available at the gate.

Kanzi U-Pick ticket details:

- Single - includes entry for 1 person and 2kg of Kanzi U-Pick apples to take home
- Double - includes entry for 2 people and 2kg of Kanzi U-Pick apples to take home
- Family/Group - includes entry for 4 people and 4kg of Kanzi U-Pick apples to take home
- Free scenic tractor rides can also be pre-booked at Eventbrite to avoid lines and secure a seat

Note:
- Additional guests: $2.50 a person (available with any of the above purchases)
- Extra Kanzi U-pick apples: available at $10.00 a 2kg bag
- Children 3 and under are free when accompanied by a paying adult
