Critically-acclaimed Portuguese singer, songwriter and composer, Luísa Sobral is finally making her way to Australian shores this March off the back of the release of her revered fifth studio album, 'Rosa'. She will play the beloved WOMADelaide Festival as well as a run of headline shows in Melbourne and Sydney.

Lauded far and wide as one of the most important composers and singers in a new generation of Portuguese artists, Luísa Sobral has achieved immense international success in her decade long career. Her debut LP 'The Cherry On My Cake' quickly went Platinum after spending weeks on top of local charts, whilst follow up release 'Lu-Pu-I-Pi-Sa-Pa' received Gold with lead single 'João' playing its way into the hearts of millions of Portuguese listeners.

Sobral's fourth, semi self-titled album 'Luísa' was a risky collaborative effort involving some of the scene's most esteemed talent. Produced by renowned American producer Joe Henry and featuring seasoned jazz musicians and multi-instrumentalists Marc Ribot, Greg Leisz, Jay Bellerose, Patrick Warren, David Piltch and Levon Henry, the LP was immediately declared one of 2016's best albums by a slew of Portuguese critics.

Having performed at a multitude of festivals and events in over 15 countries including Austin's SXSW, Barcelona Jazz Festival, London Jazz Festival, and a performance on 'Later…with Jools Holland', Luísa has collected a mass of dedicated fans all over the world. She has received two Globos de Ouro nominations (The Portuguese equivalent of The Golden Globes), and received a Commander of the Order of Merit from the Portuguese President together with her brother, after becoming the first first-ever Portuguese act to win the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest with her career defining composition 'Amar pelos dois'.

Now, following her most personal, reflective and raw release to date, Luísa Sobral is finally making her way to our shores for her 'Rosa' Australian Tour with a handful of select intimate performances across the country. Do not miss your chance to catch one of the most cherished live performers of our time when Luísa Sobral lands in the country this March.
