To celebrate Parks Week, the Heart Foundation, Parks Victoria and Epworth Camberwell are inviting those who have been touched by heart disease to join a walk at Lysterfield Lake Park.

Walking is a fantastic way to keep your heart healthy and walking in natural environments has proven additional health benefits such as stress reduction, increased sense of well-being and improving rates of recovery.

Walkers will experience a Parks Victoria Welcome Walk – an easy, 40-minute loop led by a Parks Victoria volunteer.  Whether you enjoy water, scenery or the smell of eucalypts with every breath, this walk has it all!  The track is also pram and wheelchair friendly.

The walk will also celebrate the launch of Epworth Camberwell’s Heart to Heart walking group, feature guest speakers from the Heart Foundation and Parks Victoria, and finish with refreshments at the Lysterfield Lake visitors centre.

Invite your friends and family for a great morning out.  Every step you take on this walk is a step away from heart disease and towards better heart health.
