Championing the culinary flavours of Latin America, Mamasita will celebrate its 10th Birthday with a special chef collaboration dinner and a Margarita masterclass earlier in the day.
Diners can celebrate the milestone with a delicious once-off degustation of ten dishes from past and present to commemorate the evolution of the famed eatery. To honour the beginnings of Mamasita, the kitchen will reunite with the very first head chef and original co-founder, Jason Jones, who will fly back to Melbourne from Singapore.
An exciting announcement that is closely timed with the celebration, is that much-respected chef Chris Watson is set to permanently join the team as executive chef at Mamasita. His appointment will kick off at the collaboration event with Jason Jones for the 10th birthday dinner.
For the exciting celebratory dinner, guests can expect the likes of Oysters Aguachile - organic ‘Wapengo’ oyster, cucumber aguachile, apple vinegar sorbet, worm salt, tequila, as well as classic 2010 menu items Tostaditas de Cangrejo - crab meat, avocado, cucumber, tamarind mayo and habanero and Cordero con Adobo - roast lamb rump, ancho chili adobo, cranberries, coriander, and many other delicious dishes. Diners can join the feast at either of two sittings—5:30pm or 8:30pm. Both sittings also include a welcome cocktail.
