Margaret Morrison & James Sherlock With JMQ Jazz Ensemble

Veteran jazz stylist, Margaret Morrison shall again feature with JMQ Jazz Ensemble, with master guitarist, James Sherlock, at the welcoming Water Rat Hotel.

Margaret Morrison has a colourful and long career, working with many of Australia’s finest musicians, across decades, where she has enthralled audiences and earned the respect of her peers. Come along and savour Margaret's musical story, told through standards that have shaped her enduring jazz career.

James Sherlock is a highly distinguished jazz guitarist; one of Australia's finest. He began playing classical guitar at age 7 and attended the Queensland Conservatorium of Music studying classical guitar, graduating in 1992. He is now based in Melbourne, Australia. James was the winner of the Ike Isaacs International Jazz Guitar Award and has performed with the cream of International and local Jazz artists. As a bandleader James has released six albums, and appeared on many recordings for other artists.

On this Thursday, Mar 26, they will share the stage with Margaret’s favoured accompanist Michael Harding (piano), Niko Schauble (drums), Tom Lee (double bass) & John Montesante (flugelhorn/trumpet).
