3-week short course in Richmond, structured for beginners.
Starts Term 1 - Sunday 16th February 2020
In this 3-week course you'll learn both meditation and mindfulness. You'll learn how to deal with common stress related difficulties. Small class size for people with little or no experience. Sunday afternoon start (5 pm) for busy people to come from home before dinner. (finishes at 6:30 pm). Practical course to decrease daily stress, anxiety and improve sleep. Experienced teacher. Each 1.5-hr weekly class includes 2–4 meditations with theory, guidance and discussion.
We introduce four techniques that teach body relaxation and mental calm.
- Body Awareness - (sleep better, lower blood pressure, reduce fatigue and aging, and manage pain)
- Breath Tranquility - (breath awareness trains you to be more calm, relaxed and happy)
- Mental Calm - (Calms and focuses overactive minds)
- Emotional Imagery ( Build emotional intelligence and increases positive mood)
- & Much more! This is a comprehensive short course With additional online material
The course is cumulative, gradually moving from theory into practice using multiple techniques. Time is given to individual discussion and feedback, and offers the opportunity to reflect on results and progress.
You are likely to get good results from the very first class, but just like any skill it takes practice. We suggest 10 minutes most days, either in one sitting or made up of several shorter sessions throughout the day.
During the course we encourage you to meditate in chairs.
