We’re back with our first Film Event for 2020 and this one is a real showstopper...
We present Baz Luhrmann's classic MOULIN ROUGE!

In 1899, Christian, a young English writer, has arrived in Paris to follow the Bohemian revolution taking hold of the city's drug and prostitute infested underworld. And nowhere is the thrill of the underworld more alive than at the Moulin Rouge, a nightclub where the rich and poor men alike come to be entertained by the dancers. But things take a wicked turn for Christian as he starts a deadly love affair with the star courtesan of the club, Satine. Can love conquer all?

Our Picture House FILM EVENTS have had a bit of a cult following amongst our fans. It's been a while since our last one and we have kept you waiting long enough! If you haven't been to one of these Film Events, they are kind of hard to explain, but it's a screening of an iconic or cult classic film, done with a Picture House twist. A whole lot of fun, so come along and see what all the fuss is about!

Directed by Baz Luhrmann. 2001. Starring Nicole Kidman, Ewan McGregor, Rated M: Mature themes, sexual references, coarse language.
